Project Rationale:
Ambulance Victoria is moving away from the outdated Mizisoft technology to enhance efficiency and adaptability with an updated Workforce Management Solution (UKG).
Engagement and Consultation Overview:
September – October 2024:
Ambulance Victoria has engaged closely with rostering teams, executives, and unions to ensure the consultation process is collaborative.
- Showcase Events – Initial project demonstrations and engagement sessions.
- Change Champion Sessions – Over 60 Change Champions have been nominated and will participate in monthly training sessions on the new system, preparing them to assist colleagues.
- Self-Service Training – The OneAV page now offers self-paced training resources.
Training Format:
- In-person training sessions are available, with a preference for virtual sessions in the Grampians region.
- Training remains optional, but staff are strongly encouraged to participate for a smoother transition.
System Demonstration Highlights:
- Roster Changes – Rostering processes have been updated to reflect modern data views accessible to team managers (TMs), though some specific data views will remain limited to certain roles.
- Roster Access and Privacy – Previously available published rosters on OneAV have been stopped due to privacy concerns, as the system was not reliably updating.
- Workday Partnering Visibility – While the current system does not allow paramedics to view daily partnering details, local team leaders will post updates on whiteboards.
Note: AV will follow up on Harry’s query regarding roster access, as it is a prominent concern among staff.
Project Timeline:
- Grampians and Balsecc Integration: Live since 23 October 2024.
- Statewide Launch: Scheduled for 4 December 2024.
- Training Sessions: Available on OneAV on 4 November at 10 AM and 2 PM.

Important Notification Note:
Staff must log into the UKG app to receive updates, as notifications will not be sent automatically in accordance with the right-to-disconnect policy.
Union Guidance:
To ensure familiarity with the new system, the union encourages all members to complete the available training before utilizing the Workforce Management Solution.
