One of the AEAV wins in the bargaining was the commitment from AV to establish EA Implementation Group (working groups) on topics our members said needed addressing. One of these topics is AV’s approach to drug & alcohol, specifically:
The EA Implementation Group will discuss the Ambulance Victoria Alcohol and Other Drug policy and related procedures, including AV’s testing program and industry best-practice, including understanding environmental exposure, in order to identify opportunities for improvements to the current policy framework.
The AEAV is looking for expressions of interest from members who would like to get involved in the Drug & Alcohol Working Group.
Too many AEAV members have been adversely impacted by AV’s approach to drug and alcohol matters and this is now your chance to have your say!
