STAFFING AT ESTA IS TOO LOW AND THE ESTA STAFFING REVIEW PROCESS HAS TAKEN TOO LONG. STAFFING LEVELS AT ESTA ARE URGENT!!
The deadline for submissions into the ESTA staffing review has been pushed back several times, and AEAV members are increasingly frustrated with the lack of action. As per clause 17.1 of the ESTA Agreement 2019, the Staffing Review was meant to be completed by 23 April 2021, being 12 months since the Agreement came into effect.
Delays have been caused by both ESTA and other parties to the review. Regardless of the cause, the effect is that the deadline for finalisation of the review has not been met and is more than four months behind.
