Delegates and Health and Safety reps are seeking 000Vic workers help with the ongoing issue of acoustic shock at Triple Zero.
Despite raising this health and safety issue at UCC meetings, and HSR meetings, and 000VIC establishing an Acoustic Shock Working Group (which doesn’t include HSRs!), workplace injuries persist.
Workers at 000VIC are experiencing serious injuries like tinnitus, vertigo, and anxiety, and work cover claims are increasing. Reps are also concerned that Ambulance CT/Ds are not reporting their injuries compared to those in Fire and Police.

Union OHS Reps believe that we must act NOW to fix this problem. The current approach isn’t working, and staff need real solutions, not just more managerial committees.
