The ballot for the Triple Zero Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) 2024 closed this morning, and the union have received the confirmed results. A majority of the workforce voted in favor of the new EA.

We thank the hard work of union delegates who have spent countless hours in bargaining meetings with Triple Zero.
Following the commencement of the new Operations Enterprise Agreement (EA), a range of entitlements will come into effect, providing financial benefits, enhanced career progression, and improved work conditions for operations employees.
Key Entitlements and Changes:
- $5,553 Sign-On Payment
- A one-time sign-on payment of $5,553 will be provided to full-time operations employees, with pro rata amounts for part-time employees. This payment will be processed in the first full pay period following the EA’s effective date.
- Annual 3% Pay Increase
- A 3% pay increase will apply annually throughout the life of the agreement, effective from the first full pay period on or after 3 April 2024. Back pay for this increase will be processed within a reasonable timeframe once the agreement’s effective date is confirmed (subject to Fair Work approval).
- New Classification Structure
- Employees will transition to the new classification structure from the first full pay period on or after 30 April 2024. Classifications will be back paid from this date, with back payments processed following the agreement’s confirmed effective date.
- 10% Increase in Penalty Rates on Weeknight Shifts
- Starting from the EA’s effective date, there will be a 10% increase in penalty rates for weeknight shifts.
- Double Time Overtime on Weekends
- Overtime worked between 6pm Friday and 7am Monday will now be paid at double time, effective from the EA’s operation date.
- Mentor Allowance Increase
- The Mentor Allowance will be increased to $7.00 per hour, doubling the previous rate. This increase is effective from the date of operation of the new EA.
