At the end of October, the Treasurer of Victoria Tim Pallas MP wrote to AEAV inviting the union to write a proposal for consideration as part of the 2022-2023 Victorian Budget.
This is a welcome opportunity and the union encourages all union members to have their say on what would make an impactful difference to their working lives through the budget.

Some things to consider when writing your recommendations is to consider how many staff the improvement would affect in your sector and what the possible financial requirements would be to achieve the improvement. We encourage you to aspire for an ambulance service that is sustainable and will be able to respond to an increase in population in a changing climate.
